This panoramic is a reproduction of a tapestry from the Manufacture Royale d'Aubusson placed on the walls of the Château de Champs-sur-Marne. Dating from the beginning of the 18th century, it adorns one of the corridors of the château and was hung by Louis Cahen d'Anvers, a wealthy banker who became the owner of the château in 1895. It is a so-called "verdure" tapestry typical of the 18th century with its very plant-filled universe composed of trees and foliage, but also some architectural elements (castle, mill, etc.) and birds, including herons.

The reproduction of this tapestry required a shooting at the Château de Champs-sur-Marne in order to photograph all parts of this tapestry in perfect definition. We then carried out a long digital restoration to restore its colors and the clarity of its patterns. To recall the grain and woven aspect of the tapestry, we chose to print it on a wallpaper composed of natural sisal fibers with a raw and textured appearance.
